Overview

Architectural Pools in Melbourne

An architectural pool is a design feature first and a swimming pool second — engineered to sit with the architecture, the landscape, and the way light moves across the site. These are the builds where concrete earns its place: infinity and wet edges, raised spas and dam walls, curved acrylic windows, full-tile and glass-mosaic interiors, cantilevered details. We collaborate with architects and landscape designers from schematic design, and Phil personally oversees every build. Our Sanctuary Lakes, Williamstown and Eaglemont projects show what's possible when the pool is treated as part of the building.

Why Serenity Pools

What sets our architectural pools apart.

01

The pool as architecture

Architectural pools are designed with the building, not bolted on afterwards. We come in at schematic design, contribute pool-specific engineering, and resolve edges, levels, and sight lines so the finished pool reads as part of the home. Concrete is what makes those details — infinity edges, curves, cantilevers — possible.

02

Finishes you see in magazines

Full ceramic tile, glass mosaic, honed-stone coping, dark wet-edge water — the finishes that define a high-end pool are concrete finishes. We walk you through samples in the design phase so you see and feel exactly what the pool will become.

03

One builder, personally accountable

Architectural builds have the most moving parts and the least room for error. Phil Kilworth oversees every Serenity project personally — no handoffs to a site team you never meet — coordinating with your architect, builder, and landscape designer through to the final detail.

Frequently asked

Architectural Pools, answered.

How much does an architectural pool cost in Melbourne?+

Architectural concrete pools generally start from around $150,000 and scale with complexity — infinity edges, integrated spas, full-tile interiors, acrylic windows, and bespoke geometry all add to the figure. Every project is designed and quoted individually; your consultation includes a transparent, itemised quote.

Do you work with our architect or landscape designer?+

Almost always. Our best architectural work is collaborative — we join at schematic design, contribute pool-specific engineering input, coordinate sequencing with the main builder, and hand back integrated documentation. The earlier we're involved, the cleaner the result.

What architectural features can a concrete pool include?+

Because the pool is formed in place, the options are broad: infinity and wet edges, raised or cantilevered spas, curved and acrylic walls, sunken lounges, integrated water and fire features, full-tile and mosaic interiors. Our Sanctuary Lakes build, for example, includes a raised mosaic spa over the water and a curved acrylic pool window.
